When I made my wood shim mirror about a year and a half ago, I wasn't bold enough to spray it gold, so I was really excited to find a great, cheap ($3.99!) bronze at my local True Value. I love the color. I think it really looks similar to unvarnished brass.
I also used it on this frame.
I recently decided I was ready to try gold and you can really see the differences in the two finishes. Gold was definitely the way to go with this gorgeous Michelle Armas print.
The takeaway? Gold can be fabulous but if you aren't quite ready for its blazing, shiny glory or if it just isn't the right look for your space, try bronze for a toned down version of this trend.
Have you jumped on the gold (or gold-ish) wagon yet?
Happy Friday!

I will have to file this paint tip in my head. For some reason, I never even thought to look for brass spray paint!
